Hong Kong

As many of you know, Ron is currently deployed for 6 months. He is onboard the USS Stennis and they made port last week in Hong Kong. Here are some pictures of his few days there.

Huntington Beach 1/2 Marathon

Best Time EVER!!

This past weekend I went up to Huntington Beach for the Surf City 1/2 Marathon. It was a fun filled weekend!

Friday: We arrived at Huntington Beach and headed straight to the Fitness Expo were we had tons of fun, ate several free samples and all won a package of rice. We then went to the Huntington Beach Pier and hung out for a while and then head back to the hotel and relaxed around the fire pit outside.

Saturday: We got up early and went for a walk down Huntington Beach, Pier and Main Street. We also had decided we wanted this yellow Huntington Beach Marathon Race Team shirt...In order to get it, we had to volunteer...So, we did! We went to the expo and volunteered for 3 hours...We opened medals and it was a blast! We went back to the hotel and just relaxed the rest of the evening.

Sunday: RACE DAY! We got up bright and early and got ready and ran/walked our hearts out!
My race time: 2:52...16 minutes faster than Disneyland 1/2 Marathon! Here are just a few pictures.
